Getting started
The full episode workflow in order - from idea to published MP4. Start here if you're new to the app.
Projects & show bible
Create and manage projects. Write the show bible that keeps characters consistent. Set up characters, voices, and locations.
Ideas & scripts
Use the Creative Director step: generation modes, AI pitch scoring, script editing, recurring segments, and saving ideas for later.
Voices & readout
Assign voice profiles to characters, run the script readout review, generate ElevenLabs voices, and mix the audio track.
Visuals & video
Generate keyframe images with the available image engines. Animate them into video clips with Veo. Trim and arrange the timeline.
Render & publish
Render options including 4K upscale and audio normalization. Upload to Google Drive. Publish full episodes and shorts to all platforms.
What Showspring produces
A single session in the app can produce:
- A full episode - a scripted multi-character video rendered to MP4 and uploaded to YouTube.
- Shorts - vertical clips for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X, with their own script and publish calendar.
- A podcast episode - an audio version with generated intro and outro music, distributed to Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
The Doodle Cast is the show this app was built on - an ongoing episodic series of scripted character-driven content. The manual describes the app as it actually works, not as a demo.
